All Y’Alls Foods Supports Texas’ First Cattle Ranch Turned into a Vegan Sanctuary
The alternative protein company promotes animal welfare through donations from the sale of plant-based products.
DALLAS, April 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — All Y’alls Foods, a plant-based food company offering jerky, snacks, salad toppings and heat-and-eat meals soon, is donating a portion of every sale of her herbal products at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary. The farm animal sanctuary, located in Waedler, Texas, takes care of about 120 animals that would have gone to the slaughterhouse. All donations from Y’all Foods go directly to the care and feeding of the cattle, goats, pigs, sheep and chickens that will live out the rest of their natural lives at the sanctuary.
Caring for animals with vegetable proteins
native texan Brett Cristoffel founded All Y’All Foods when he learned his home state was the nation’s largest supplier of beef and wanted to offer a milder alternative. He started with three Texas-flavors inspired by the company’s flagship product, It’s jerky y’all: black pepper and sea salt, teriyaki with prickly pear and chipotle with prickly pear. Later he added It’s Big Crunchy Bacony Bits which scored #1 in Amazon’s meatless bacon category.
For Brett, it wasn’t enough to provide delicious plant-based snacks and food that was better for people and the planet. He knew he wanted his business to help animals and landed at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary when he found they had the largest herd of sanctuary cows in Texas. “I am grateful to have the opportunity to support Rowdy Girl Sanctuary in their mission to provide love and care for animals,” said Brett, “They are also helping other ranchers transition from farming to plant-based products through their Breeder Advocacy Program. This is a win for everyone involved. This is the future.”
Kinder alternatives for everyone!
More and more consumers are choosing plant-based products out of concern for their health, the environment and animal welfare. Retail sales of plant-based foods increased in 2021, by 6.2% compared to the record growth of 2020, reaching a new high of $7.4 billion reports Association of plant-based foods.
Moreover, consumers choose brands that correspond to their values. According to a global study published by the Zeno group, consumers are four to six times more likely to buy and protect a company that has a strong purpose. All Y’all Foods shows an ongoing commitment to animal welfare by donating a portion of its profits to help rescued farm animals.
The founder of Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, Renee King-Sonnen expressed her gratitude, “I’m just happy because I know how to be that Rowdy Girl Sanctuary is the recipient of such a passionate organization like All Y’alls Foods. Partnering with ‘It’s Jerky Y’all’ is the perfect fit because we used to raise cattle and auction them off. Now we can enjoy the jerky without the cow!”
