Cape Town: Livestock handlers fell on the body of a woman on a farm in Berlin, outside east London. The police are trying to figure out how Sinesipho Lukhotsholo died.

The 24-year-old’s body, missing on October 2, was in an early stage of decomposition when it was found on Wednesday.

A brawl at a liquor store in Berlin reportedly led to tragedy, with gunshots fired and Lukhotsholo would never be seen again.

According to a statement from the Eastern Cape SAPS, the deceased had traveled with her friend from Chalumna to visit their respective boyfriends in Berlin.

“Upon arrival in Berlin, they visited the local liquor outlet, where an argument broke out between two groups which led to a brawl and they ended up being escorted out of the establishment.

As they walked away they encountered the group they fought with where shots were fired and they all ran in different directions and she was never seen again.

“There are indications that the woman was murdered elsewhere and dumped on the farm,” SAPS said.

The Eastern Cape Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Liziwe Ntshinga, has condemned the senseless murder.

No arrests were made and the police are calling for anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Sindile Njomba, on 082 441 8938 or the nearest police station.
