Stake your claim on a sprawling 6,000-acre cattle ranch south of Dallas
A sprawling cattle ranch to grab south of Dallas will set you back at least $ 36 million.
The Elkhart Ranch is located between the towns of Buffalo and Elkhart and east of Interstate 45. The property is approximately two and a half hours drive from Dallas and Houston.
Elkhart Ranch is a working gap that can support 2,000 head of cattle.
“Current ranch operations have been optimized without abusing the forage produced by the land with minimal operating costs,” according to Dallas-based Icon Global, which markets the property for sale. “The minimal structural improvements and well-designed ranch infrastructure are only what is needed to keep the ranch running.
The ranch includes pastures, paddocks, work chutes, and truck docks to support ranching operations. There are eight water wells, two lakes and several ponds.
The sale includes livestock and equipment.
“Much of the southernmost part of the ranch has been left untouched,” says Icon Global’s marketing speech. “There are endless rows of pine trees, hidden ponds and paths that only a four-wheeled vehicle can cross.
“This area offers the much desired natural and recreational scenery and such valuable cover.”
To buy the iconic Texas ranch, you’ll need to bid at least $ 6,000 an acre, according to the brokers.
Icon Global has marketed some of the largest ranches and rural properties in Texas. The real estate company is currently working on the sale of the 80,000 acre Turkey Track Ranch in Panhandle, Texas.
Icon Global previously sold the 510,500-acre WT Wagoner Ranch near Vernon.
